Man marries his iPhone after falling in love for years

Aaron Chervenak is one of the many grooms who has experienced a quickie wedding in Las Vegas. On May 20th, at the Little Las Vegas Chapel, Chervenak was married to the love of his life, his Apple iPhone. Chapel owner Michael Kelly said, “At first it was like what? And then I was like… Alright let’s do it. We don’t really have many people that marry inanimate objects.”

Kelly pointed out that Chervenak was merely sending a message to society. We go to sleep and wake up with our smartphone in bed with us. We are with our handset 24 hours a day, and it is the first thing we look at in the morning. Doesn’t that sound like a marriage?

The wedding is obviously not recognized by the State of Nevada. We do not know if the blushing bride took its husband’s name (Apple iChervenak) and there is no word on where the pair spent their honeymoon. Chervenak didn’t mention anything about children, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see some Apple iPod nano units in the family’s future.

“Of course it’s not as emotional as marrying a person; the emotional connection is a completely different one. And the marriage is symbolic, since by law it is not possible to marry an object. But the message is still there: These little devices have become incredibly precious to us, so my little symbolic act demonstrates that high value.”-Aaron Chervenak, Groom

We wonder if the bride is the jealous type. Her husband might develop a roving eye come September when a younger, sexier model will be available. You can check out the actual ceremony by clicking on the video at the top of this story.
