What You’ll Need:
3 sirloin steaks
1 white onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 large portobello mushroom, diced
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
9 slider buns, cut in half (and held together if possible)
1/8 cup unsalted butter, melted
6 slices jarlsberg cheese
18 slices provolone cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
How You Make It:
Pop your steaks in the freezer for an hour or so to get stiff.
Bring them out and slice as thinly as possible against the grain of the steak.
In a pan over medium heat, add the oil and fry the onions, pepper, mushroom and garlic until nicely coloured and translucent looking. Add the steak (now at room temperature), season with the salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Remove from the heat.
Spread your mayonnaise over the bottom half of your slider buns in a 9″ square tray. Top with half your provolone slices. Tong over all of the steak mix. Now your jarlsberg.
Top with the top half of the buns, brush all over with butter, then finish with your remaining provolone slices.
Bake at 160ºC/320ºF for 15-20 minutes.
Get stuck in.
