We’re not sure whether or not Tesla encourages people to snap pictures of Model 3 prototypes when they visit the electric carmaker’s facilities in Fremont, California. We wholeheartedly encourage it though, and a new pair of snaps have emerged to give us our best look yet at the near-final Model 3 design in a stunning silver color.

The release of the upcoming new Model 3 very well may be a make or break moment for Tesla. The company has built a loyal fan base among more affluent car buyers who know the company’s limitations going into each sale. Model S and Model X driving ranges can vary based on conditions and driving habits, and Superchargers aren’t always abundant.
Teslas make great second cars for people with extra cash to throw around, but the Model 3 buyer will be an entirely different beast. This is a far more affordable car and in all likelihood, it will be a main driver for most people who purchase it. They need constant access to Superchargers and service stations, and Tesla’s nationwide infrastructure simply isn’t extensive enough right now.
Well, here’s the good news: If you do plan to buy a Model 3, at least you’ll be getting a gorgeous car.
Tesla’s initial design shown off during the car’s unveiling was sleek and stylish, but it’s gotten even hotter since then. New shots taken by people visiting Tesla’s Fremont factory give us our first up-close look at the car in silver, and while the design may change a little over the next few weeks as it’s finalized, this is probably pretty close to the finished product.
